to be held on Saturday
A fabulous shopping experience, the market is
gaining great popularity with locals and visitors alike flocked to purchase
direct from the farmer in addition to enjoying a hearty breakfast catching
up with friends and neighbours. A Kids Corner for the 'little ones' to
play, draw or indulge in a chocolate crackle, all profits going to the
Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
The Village Market, located in the grounds of
the historic Tatong Tavern Hotel, provides an excellent country setting for
a local food sampling and gathering experience, offering the perfect start
to a weekend of local sports, a visit to the slopes or whiling away time in
front of open fires enjoying local wine, great food and good company.
The Tatong Village Market will showcase an
array of fresh produce, food and wine in addition to a country breakfast
fit for a king! Produce to be expected includes fresh fruit and vegetables,
free range pork, olives and oil, free range eggs, walnuts, including
pickled walnuts, beef, mutton, plants and herbs, organic bread, culinary
rose product including homemade Turkish delight and quince jelly, fine tea,
cakes, biscuits, tarts, homemade soaps, relishes, chutneys and wine
produced in nearby Samaria and Lima.
Located two hour’s drive from Melbourne,
the market is held on the first Saturday of every month from 8am to
approximately 1pm in the grounds of the Tatong Tavern Hotel.

The Tatong Village Market brings the local
